Our Story

GilmanWhile some may view first aid supplies as just another commodity, we became passionate about it because we actually use these products everyday. Through first hand experience we’ve come to appreciate the profound importance of having the right product when it’s needed most to save a human life.

It all began some thirty five years ago when John became the first Registered Nurse Paramedic in Idaho. Shortly thereafter he and his wife Sharon started Ada-Boi Ambulance here in Boise Idaho.

Over those early years these two blazed many a new trail in critical care transport by  launching Idaho and Oregon’s first helicopter and fixed wing air ambulance flights.  We’re proud to say that Ada-Boi Ambulance has become one of the preferred critical care transport services in the Intermountain Region.

We suppose it would be fair to say that we have a long and distinguished heritage as medical first responders and critical care givers.

Along the way we started assembling special first aid kits for use in our own ambulances and we thought other medical professionals, companies and even families might find them useful. So in 2004 we opened AB First Aid store, a retail location in Boise which later was expanded to include our online store abfirstadstore.com.

We’re proud of the fact that medical professionals and first responders all over the planet are using our kits today. We’ve built a reputation for quality and reliability in the field of first aid supplies. Including our renowned Fogg First Aid Kits; custom designed arrangements of supplies packaged in rugged Pelican brand cases to fit most every application.
